Accompaniment for criminal proceeding includes legal and mental support for victims of violence, who take part of a criminal case as witnesses
Victims of violence receive this accompaniment by the “Gewaltschutzzentrum Tirol”. This service is financed by the Austrian Ministry Of Justice.
We provide:
Information pertaining to; pressing charges and accompaniment to the police when you press charges (contact the police).
Procurement of legal support for the criminal procedure
Accompaniment of hearing of witnesses at the courts or at the police.
Mental support and psychosocial counsel
Information regarding further steps (psychotherapy and ”Verbrechensopfersgesetz“) As of the 1st June 2009 , we provide a follow up civil proceeding service which arise as a consequence of the criminal proceedings.
